Breaking Ground: LGA Studios Ventures into Commercial Design with Farmers State Bank Branch
We’re delighted to share a project that’s been on our drafting table – the design of a new branch of Farmers State Bank, which will be breaking ground soon in Kiowa, Colorado!
The Design Journey
While residential projects will always be our bread and butter, designing a bank brought its own set of welcome challenges and opportunities. We approached this project with the same passion and attention to detail that define LGA Studios, and it’s been a fun one to collaborate on.
From the moment we put pen to paper (and mouse to computer), our goal was to create a space that seamlessly blends into Kiowa's landscape, while offering a fresh take on traditional banking architecture. Farmers State Bank has been serving Eastern Colorado since 1918, with current branches in Calhan, Ellicott, and Falcon. Farmers State Bank remains family-owned and customer-focused, and it’s been a pleasure for our small team to work with their small team on the design.
From open spaces that encourage a welcoming atmosphere to modern amenities that cater to the evolving needs of the community, the design encapsulates Farmers State Bank’s mission for a banking space that is both cutting-edge and community-centric. We incorporated our clients’ vision and the needs of their brand with a Modern Prairie style approach to the architecture, which allows the new bank to harmonize with the open spaces and natural beauty around it while bringing plenty of light and a sense of balance and flow into the interior.
The future banking hub of the Kiowa branch will seamlessly integrate with the community, embodying the bank's commitment to personalized service and technological innovation. There was a lot of attention paid to the outdoor space surrounding the bank as well, with a detailed landscape plan to preserve existing wildgrass and fauna while adding local trees, flowers, and access points.
