Denver

A few weeks ago, I was in Denver with Larry while he attended a tour of a LEED certified apartment building with Rocky Mountain Green. The building was located in the Highlands neighborhood, and I happened upon a great combination of businesses, which included a tea bar, an auto repair shop, and a place for expecting mothers and their partners.

I really love living in Colorado Springs, but Denver has sooo many cool little neighborhoods to explore. Since the tea bar was in the middle of these two other "green" businesses, it served as a lovely waiting area for people who were having their car serviced, as well as a place for future-moms to meet up after taking their classes next door. It was really fun spending a couple of hours there.

In the same block as these businesses, I also found an organic dry cleaning center, with living space above. As we walked the neighborhood, we noticed the beautiful mixture of old houses with many new contemporary apartment buildings and live/work units.  Since Larry and I are also on the lookout for possible products and ideas for our new home exteriors, it was especially fun and helpful to explore this neighborhood.
